Denise S. Maes
Denise S. Maes is a partner at Berenbaum Weinshienk & Eason, PC in Denver, Colorado where she practices environmental law and land use regulation and development. Ms. Maes represents clients before administrative and judicial tribunals. She has extensive experience in the area of environmental laws that govern hazardous waste, and has represented companies in Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Montana, California and Washington. Originally from New Mexico, Ms. Maes began her legal career in Denver as a law clerk to Chief Justice Joseph R. Quinn of the Colorado Supreme Court. Ms. Maes is involved in many civic activities. She is the current Chair of the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and recently served as Chair of the Chamber's Education Foundation. She also served on the Denver Board of Water Commissioners and was the first woman to serve as President in the Board's 60+ year history. Ms. Maes also serves on the Kronke Sports' Hispanic Advisory Council and was recently appointed to the Downtown Denver Partnership Board. She received her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of New Mexico.
