Beatriz Olvera Stotzer Beatriz Olvera Stotzer, is the C.E.O. of New Economics for Women (NEW/Capital), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce poverty by creating wealth opportunities for women and children. Ms. Stotzer is a nationally prominent business leader and family advocate. She has steered more than $60 million in investment into projects in the central Los Angeles area to provide affordable housing to meet the needs of Latinas and their families, and these projects have been cited by Fannie Mae as national models. Previously Ms. Stotzer served in senior management at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and as vice president of community and governmental relations for KCET public television. She is President of the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH), is a commissioner on the Los Angeles County Children's Planning Council and a boardmember for the Southern California Goodwill Industries. Ms. Stotzer formerly served on President Clinton's Council on Sustainable Development and is past president of the Women's Law Center board. Ms. Stotzer is a graduate of the Coro Public Affairs Program, holds an M.A. in Political Science and is a graduate of the Harvard University Senior Executive Program.
