Saskia Traill, Program Manager Saskia Traill leads the Insight Center's state work in building strong early care and education systems. She works with states and regions across the nation to analyze early care and education data, develop strategic plans based on economic findings, and engage new partners to strengthen the supply of quality, affordable early care and education. Saskia has authored a number of seminal reports, including economic impact studies in more than eight states and twenty counties and regions. She has co-authored policy and legislative briefs on early care and education, and frequently presents at national and local conferences and roundtables. Prior to joining the Insight Center, Saskia researched children and family mental health and parental leave policies, taught at Barnard College, and produced radio news segments for NPR affiliate WOSU. Saskia received a B.A. from Columbia University and has a Ph.D. in research psychology from Stanford University.
