Marsha Caldwell, Executive Assistant and Human Resources Director

Marsha Caldwell joined the Insight Center in 1984 as Office Manager and over the years has assumed a variety of responsibilities in response to the needs of the organization. In 1998 she took on the role of Executive Assistant to the President, and most recently, expanded her work to include benefits administrator and HR Director. 

In addition to her administrative role, Marsha is the event planner for most of the organization's conferences and convenings. She also functions as board recording secretary and is responsible for reporting on program activity to the Board of Directors and staffing all of the Board’s committees. Marsha plays a key role in helping the organization develop the core competencies of its staff by identifying and evaluating training opportunities. She also spearheaded the organization’s effort to explore the impact of race on our work from both an internal and external perspective.    Before joining the Insight Center, Marsha was Membership Coordinator for the Oakland Board of Realtors and Office Manager for Eugene Upshaw and Associates, an Oakland-based business founded by Eugene Upshaw, a former tight end for the Oakland Raiders.   Marsha is a graduate of Northwood University with a degree in Advertising and Business Administration.
