Henry A.J. Ramos

CEO

Henry A.J. Ramos is CEO of the Insight Center for Community Economic Development. The Insight Center helps people and communities achieve and sustain economic security through research, technical assistance, and policy advocacy efforts. The Center’s programs focus on asset building in low income communities, sector workforce development innovations targeted to traditionally hard-to-employ populations, and family economic stabilization. 

Brad Caftel

Vice President and General Counsel

Brad Caftel has been a lawyer on the staff of the Insight Center since 1976. Brad is responsible for ensuring that Insight’s internal operations comply with legal requirements, conform to best practices, and minimize exposure to adverse risk.  He also directs the Insight Center’s community economic development focused legal assistance offerings for legal services programs, law schools, pro bono attorneys, and eligible nonprofit corporations.


Aimee Chitayat

Senior Consultant

Aimee Chitayat brings many years of experience in designing large-scale social change for low-income communities to her work with the Insight Center. She has held senior positions in health, long-term care, and workforce development in foundation, government, consulting, and nonprofit agencies.

Anne Price

Managing Program Director and Chief Asset Building Officer

Anne has spent 20 years in the public sector working in a wide range of areas including child welfare, hunger, welfare reform, workforce development, community development and higher education.

Annette Case, MPA

Senior Consultant and Project Manager, Metrics Matter

In her work with the Insight Center, Metrics Matter Initiative Annette has devised and is implementing an action plan to improve public awareness about economic security, what data and measures tell us about economic security and building public will to advance solutions that achieve meaningful progress for families and communities.

Dr. Antonio J. Gallardo

Senior Consultant

Dr. Antonio Gallardo works with Insight’s National Network of Sector Partners, developing key deliverables. He is the founder of FRAI Solutions Inc., an initiative supporting the missions of small and medium sized firms, as well as non-profits.

Bernard Lim

Network Administrator

Bernard supports the Insight Center’s network and all computer systems. He rolls out new technology, and provides end-user support and training. He came to the Insight Center with over 26 years experience in IT consulting, implementing and supporting networks, and handling many varied IT projects.

Calvin Williams

Senior Consultant

Over the past 10 years, Calvin Williams has worked in the field of policy advocacy, leadership development and education. As a policy advocate, Calvin managed collective impact initiatives advancing equity and justice for communities of color on issues of public health, education, employment and civic engagement.

Dazzie McKelvy

Dazzie McKelvy works with Insight’s National Network of Sector Partners, crafting key deliverables. She brings many years of experience developing successful sector strategies and creating lasting change in the workforce market.

Don Baylor serves as the Director for Insight's Metrics Matter initiative. Don brings a strong background in policy, asset building, and workforce development. He has acted in numerous leadership roles benefitting those seeking greater economic mobility and social justice, having served as director of OpportunityTexas and as legislative director for the New York ACORN.

Erin Fogg

Erin Fogg has more than a decade of experience working with nonprofits, foundations, government agencies, political candidates and elected officials. Erin is the Founder and Principal of Spoke Consulting, a full-service strategic communications firm dedicated exclusively to serving nonprofits and social entrepreneurs.

Gabriela Sandoval

Director of Research and Chief Economic Security Officer

Gabriela Sandoval brings more than 15 years of research experience to her work with the Insight Center where she designs and manages research projects focused on building wealth for economically vulnerable people and communities through the Closing the Racial Wealth Gap Initiative.

Ignatius Bau

Senior Program Advisor

Ignatius Bau is an independent consultant who has previously worked as a program director for a statewide private foundation, policy director for a national minority health organization, program manager for a national capacity-building program, and immigration and civil rights attorney.

Jack Mills

Chief Workforce Strategy Officer and Director of the National Network of Sector Partners

Jack Mills joined the Insight Center in 2005 as the Senior Program Manager for Sector Programs and was promoted to Director of NNSP in 2006. NNSP, a program of the Insight Center, is a national membership organization and learning community for sector program leaders, policy-makers, funders, researchers, and supporters.

Jennie Mollica works with Insight's National Network of Sector Partners, developing key deliverables. Jennie has over 20 years of experience in non-profit management, planning and program development, performance outcomes measurement and evaluation, research and data analysis, teaching and training, technical assistance, and group facilitation.

Jenny Chung Mejia

Senior Consultant

Jenny Chung Mejia is a consultant with experience in community economic development and transactional legal services for nonprofits. She has worked in program expansion, philanthropic fundraising, organizational capacity building, policy development and advocacy, and grasstops coalition building.

Jesse W. Woo

Senior Consultant

Jesse W. Woo is an attorney in practice in the East Bay helping a diverse clientele of small businesses and entrepreneurs plan and grow their business. Jesse will advance our research and advocacy efforts in regional employment equity, family economic security and legal services.

Jim Torrens

Associate Director of Workforce Innovation and the National Network of Sector Partners

Jim Torrens brings more than a decade of experience in coalition-building, community-based education and workforce training to his work with the Insight Center, where he focuses primarily on workforce development projects and on advancing the goals of the National Network of Sector Partners (NNSP), a nationwide membership organization dedicated to promoting and increasing support for sector initiatives.

Julie Tugend

Julie Tugend is an ICF certified Professional Coach and management consultant with over 20 years experience working with foundations, non-profits, business leaders and government agencies. Her expertise includes organizational development, executive coaching, board governance, retreat facilitation, mediation/conflict resolution, writing/editing and team building.

Loy Mulyagonja

Senior Consultant

Loy Mulyagonja, CPA, is a Supervising Consultant at FMA and serves as a senior finance consultant to the Insight Center. Loy provides outsourcing services in an array of service areas, from daily accounting and bookkeeping to fiscal staff supervision and training, back-office accounting support, government and private grants management, and monitoring and compliance.

Marsha Caldwell

Executive Assistant and Director of Administration

Marsha Caldwell joined the Insight Center in 1984 as an office manager/administrative assistant. Over the years has assumed a variety of responsibilities in response to the needs of the organization. In 1998, she took on the role of Executive Assistant to the President. She now serves as the Insight Center’s Director of Human Resources.

Ricardo G. Huerta Niño

Senior Consultant

Ricardo G. Huerta Niño received his PhD from the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of California, Berkeley in 2013 where he is currently a Lecturer in the department teaching the "Introduction to City Planning" and "Urban Communities" courses. He is also a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for the Study of Societal Issues (ISSI) and an Affiliated Scholar at the Center for Research on Native American Issues.

Tim Lohrentz

He founded the Insight Center’s Inclusive Business Initative and is a national thought leader on state and local government policies related to small business enterprise and minority- and women-business enterprise.
