One of our state program partners is wondering if any jurisdictions include persons of Middle Eastern descent within their categorical definitions of Minority Business Enterprise?  Of course, a Middle Eastern might be able to apply for MBE status on an individual social disadvantage basis.  This might include persons from Egypt, Jordan, Palestinian Territories, Lebanon, Syria, Morocco, Libya, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and any other countries belonging to the Arab League.
