Ledy R. Garcia-Eckstein

Ms. Garcia-Eckstein is currently the Assistant Director for Employer Services in the Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development in Denver, Colo. In this role, she manages state and local staff and develops programs that help employers more effectively recruit, train, and retain their workforce. Prior to this, Ms. Garcia-Eckstein was the Executive Director of the Workforce Coordinating Council in the Office of the Governor, Policy and Research division, where she administered the state's $9.5 million One-Stop Career Center grant and directed the Human Resource Investment Council. Ms. Garcia-Eckstein is an active member of the community and has held board and advisory positions for many different organizations, including the Latin American Education Foundation, the Mi Casa Resource Center for Women, and the Greater Denver Local Development Corporation. She has been on the Insight Center board since 2003.

Ms. Garcia-Eckstein received her B.A., with distinction and honors, from the University of Iowa, and her M.A. in government from the University of Virginia.
