Michael J. Ferguson

Mr.  Ferguson is the President of Ferguson & Company, a full-service CPA firm in Oakland, CA. that provides accounting, auditing, tax consulting, and information-technology services to small businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, and individuals. Founded in 1978, the firm has a client base of over 1,400. Before founding his own firm, Mr. Ferguson served as a tax expert for the CPA firm of Morris, Davis and Company in Oakland, and also worked for the Internal Revenue Service in San Francisco. Mr. Ferguson is active both professionally and civically. In addition to his Insight Center board membership, which he has held since 2005, he is also a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Oakland Chamber of Commerce, and he sits on the board of the Rhythm Tap Hall of Fame.

Mr. Ferguson received his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
