Brad Caftel, Vice President and General Counsel Brad Caftel has been a lawyer on the staff of the Insight Center since 1976. Brad is responsible for ensuring that its internal operations comply with legal requirements, conform to best practices, and minimize exposure to adverse risk. Brad has broad experience in providing legal, tax, organizational, and strategic planning advice and training to community and faith-based organizations on their internal development and operations, business and real-estate development, and community-development finance strategies. He has published extensively in the area of community economic development and nonprofit management. In addition to his work at the Insight Center, Brad also teaches courses for law students and nonprofit managers on nonprofit corporate and tax law. He has taught at the University of Michigan, George Washington University, Hastings School of Law, San Jose State, and University of California, Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law.
