Jen Wohl, Program Director

Jen Wohl  is responsible for developing new programmatic areas for the Insight Center, as well as taking Insight Center’s Early Care and Education work to scale, both on a statewide and national level.  She has authored a number of key reports for the organization, including The Child Care Economic Impact Report: A Tool for Economic Development, featured in the Clearinghouse Review Journal of Poverty Law and Policy. Jen is an Editorial Advisory Board Member of the Journal of Children & Poverty. Her views have been featured in both the Wall Street Journal and National Public Radio’s All Things Considered. Jen came to the Insight Center with extensive nonprofit and government management experience. Her work focused on community and individual empowerment, with a special emphasis on young children and at-risk youth. She was as a constituent and legislative aide to U.S. Congressman Bill Green, a fundraiser for United Neighborhood Houses of New York, a supervising attorney for New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services, Division of Legal Services, and the Director of Quality Improvement at the Children’s Aid Society.  

Jen received a B.A. with honors in English from Clark University and a J.D from St. John’s University.
