Diverse Voices On Assets Clearinghouse

Although a large number of participants in asset-building programs are people of color, too often the research, policy, or program decision-making in the asset field does not incorporate the knowledge and perspectives of experts of color. The Diverse Voices on Assets Clearinghouse will begin to address this gap.

The Diverse Voices on Assets Clearinghouse is designed to be a resource which will showcase the financial asset-building work of experts of color. It intends to serve a broad audience, providing information to all people who wish to improve asset policy, practice, and research.  The Clearinghouse will also serve as a resource for organizations seeking people with asset-building expertise for speaking engagements, program assistance, or filling staff and board positions.

Clearinghouse Browse Options
You can search the clearinghouse in five different ways:

• Functional Type of Asset Work
  Use the Type of Asset Work Browse link to find people’s names organized by the type of work they do (media / marketing and communication; representation of financial institution; foundation funder; policymaker; practitioner; researcher; or “other”)
  

• Topic Area of Focus
  Use the Topic Area of Focus link to find people’s names organized by their primary area of expertise (business, EITC, debt, housing, savings accounts, etc.)
  

• Focus on Specific Populations
  Use the Focus on Specific Populations link to find people’s names organized by the population that they focus on (youth, ex-offenders, immigrants, people with disabilities, rural populations, specific communities of color, etc.)
  

• Geographic Location
  Use the Geographic Location link to find people’s names listed according to the geographic location of their work address.
  

• Complete List of Experts of Color
  Use the Complete List of Experts of Color to see the full list of names of people featured on the clearinghouse.
