National Network of Sector Partners (NNSP) The National Network of Sector Partners (NNSP) is a national membership-based organization that provides information and resources to the sector field. Membership includes sector program leaders, policy makers, funders, researchers, and supporters. Our mission is to encourage the use of sector initiatives as valuable tools for enhancing employment and economic-development opportunities for low-income individuals, families, and communities. The goals of NNSP are to:
We work in partnership with local community stakeholders to design, implement, and improve sector initiatives. We also promote effective sector policies that align workforce, economic-development, education, and social service systems. NNSP's multimodel learning opportunities provide program leaders and policy makers with resources to improve the design and practice of their sector work. Training and networking opportunities include conferences and workshops; newsletters and publications sharing the latest research, success stories, and industry-specific information; policy and funding alerts regarding new opportunities and developing issues; online learning circles with peers and professionals in the field; technical assistance to those implementing sector projects; and access to the field's best online information clearinghouse, www.sectorstrategies.org. NNSP is guided by a National Advisory Committee of sector initiative leaders, national organization representatives, business and labor leaders, and funders. The National Network of Sector Partners was founded in 1999 as a project of the Insight Center, with funding from the Ford, Charles Stewart Mott, Annie E. Casey, and William and Flora Hewlett foundations.
