Alabama yes, the Office of Minority Business Enterprise certifies MBEs no 210 (MBE only)
Alaska no not app. not app.
Arizona Has an online vendor directory with self-registered M/WBE status

Arkansas yes, the Dept of Econ Dev certifies MBEs yes, with the supplier development council 61 (MBE only)
California no not app. not app.
Colorado no, but there is an online business registry with self-identification The DOT DBE certification is reciprocal with supplier diversity council 1,221
Connecticut yes M/WBE certification no 1,700
Delaware yes, a general M/WBE certification yes, both the DOT and the supplier development council certifications 725
District of Columbia yes, an LSDBE certification no 953 (includes other SBEs)
Florida yes, MBE, WBE, and minority non-profit. Keeps track of race too.  no  5,000

Kansas The Department of Commerce certifies M/WBE firms in coordination with DOT. There is also a separate online business registry with M/WBE status DOT, EPA, and state M/WBE certifications are streamlined 276

Maryland yes SBA certified firms processed in accordance with federal DBE regulations; some streamlining for MD State MBE and federal DBE applications; currently investigating streamlining for other certifications. 3,600 (early 2007)

Ohio yes yes, the EDGE streamlines with DOT and local gov certifications. MBE is not. 700 (MBE) plus 1200 EDGE firms (may be duplicative and also includes white-SBEs)
