Experts of Color Clearinghouse

Purpose
Although a large number of participants in asset-building programs are people of color, too often the research, policy, or program-decision-making in the asset building field does not incorporate the knowledge and perspectives of experts of color.  Click here to listen to a panel of experts from our 2007 Closing the Racial Wealth Gap convening, hosted by the Ford Foundation, discuss why having experts and people of color be part of the dialogue will lead to more effective solutions.

All over the country, there are hundreds of academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, business people, and consultants engaged in important and ground-breaking work that will inform, improve, and ultimately, revolutionize efforts to close the racial wealth gap in this country.  The Experts of Color Clearinghouse is a resource that brings together and showcases the asset-building work of these experts of color.

Goal
The goal of this Clearinghouse is to provide a forum to increase the reach and impact of the work of these experts, and also to serve as a resource for organizations seeking people with asset-building expertise for speaking engagements, program assistance, or filing staff and board positions.
