Exploring New Sector Models

NNSP is exploring ways to increase sector initiatives’ reach and effectiveness in communities of color by partnering with national organizations that are committed to sector approaches and have significant reach in their communities. We also investigate other issues of cutting-edge importance to the field, such as the emergence of new industries, efforts to improve job quality for low-wage workers, community college involvement in sector initiatives, alternative sector funding mechanisms, and the effectiveness of staffing agencies in helping hard-to-employ populations. In addition, we apply learning and resources from other areas of the Insight Center’s work to expand the impact and scope of sector initiatives nationwide.
