Richard WooMr. Woo is the CEO of The Russell Family Foundation. He has experience in global philanthropy and corporate social responsibility. Before joining The Russell Family Foundation in 2000, he worked for nearly twelve years at Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco in community relations, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy. He finished his company time as executive director of the Levi Strauss Foundation. Earlier in his career, he spent fourteen years working on community health and youth development in Northern California nonprofit organizations.

He serves on the board of directors of Philanthropy Northwest and is a member of the Visiting Committee for the Masters in Nonprofit Leadership Program at Seattle University. He is a past board member of Northern California Grantmakers, Asian American and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy and the Council on Foundations. As a fourth generation Chinese American, Mr. Woo never thought that one day he would leave California and become the CEO of an environmental grant-making foundation in Washington.
